The Why? behind Rotational Grazing with Serge Koenig from the Sauk County Land Resources and Environment Department. There are lots of great reasons to use rotational grazing. Determining your goals and defining your "why" is the foundation for establishing or maintaining a successful rotational grazing operation.

Getting Beyond Yield: A Broader View of Agriculture with Laura Paine and Carl Wepking from Grassland 2.0. Learn more about ecosystem services that rotational grazing provides such as storing carbon, pollinator habitat, and more!

Do I Need a License? We will also be discussing licensing requirements for direct marketing products from the farm with Justin Huelsemann from the Sauk County Environmental Health Department.

Grazing for Profit with Aaron Pape, a farm business and production management instructor at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Using his own operation as a prime example, Aaron walks through the do's & don'ts of how to build & maintain a profitable grazing operation. Whether you are a long-time grazer or just starting out, learn important tips on how to be a smart farm financial manager.

Pasture to Plate will provide an opportunity to learn more about the culinary differences between grass-finished and grain-finished products and get ideas on how to prepare different cuts from Paul Short, a certified executive chef and culinary arts instructor for Madison Area Technical College.
