Introduction to SnapPlus for designers and planners

Location: Dodge County Administration Building

This training will give an introduction of nutrient management, NRCS 590 Standard, and the use of SnapPlus and its features to assist conservation designer and planers better understand the tool and how it can assist in the planning of conservation practices.

Topics covered include:

  • What is Nutrient Management
  • NRCS Standard 950
  • Understanding SnapPlus and its features such as RUSLE2
  • Using SnapMaps
  • Determining manure production and storage needs
  • Running SnapPlus reports

The morning will be geared towards introduction of nutrient management and the use of SnapPlus and SnapMaps for the purpose of design and planning of conservation practices. After lunch will be focused on the review of 590 plans and what to look for to ensure compliance. We will have time at the end of the training for questions, if you have any specific question beforehand please let us know.
