The Digital Dialogue will feature Thelma Heidel-Baker. Thelma is an entomologist, outdoor educator, and organic grazing farmer. Thelma has extensive science & research experience working in sustainable agriculture and conservation. She is an entomologist by training and has worked for Iowa State University Extension and The Xerces Society providing technical advice on beneficial insect conservation. She currently works for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service as a soil conservationist. Thelma is also a grazing farmer, and she brings wildlife conservation onto Bossie Cow Farm, her family’s grass-based dairy farm. She farms with her husband, Ricky, and their two young kids near Random Lake, Wisconsin.
