Groundwater Quantity

The Food, Land & Water Project consists of four workgroups to cover four distinct topics: polluted surface water, groundwater quality, groundwater quantity, and the future of Wisconsin working lands. The Groundwater Quantity Workgroup is considering the competing uses of shared aquifers and the potential to reduce conflicts within communities. This workgroup is focused on the water quantity issues in the “Central Sands” region, as well as other areas in Wisconsin experiencing groundwater use conflicts. Four workgroup meetings were held with the ideas, goals, and recommendations presented at the Food, Land & Water Conference.
