Wisconsin Agricultural Mitigation Banking Program Informational Session

The Wisconsin Agricultural Mitigation Bank (WAMB) is a new tool being developed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for the NRCS and their conservation compliance provisions. The WAMB can be used by Wisconsin farmers to mitigate for certain wetland impacts resulting from agricultural activities to allow them to stay, or get back into, compliance with the swampbuster provisions of the Food Security Act of 1985. In this session, the DNR will provide information about the program and explain how this program can be used to assist farmers in staying in compliance with federal laws, while still being able to implement the projects they would like on their properties.
