Conservation Technician

The Iowa County LCD is seeking applicants for a full-time Conservation Technician position. This position helps protect and improve soil and water quality by providing technical assistance for engineered Best Management Practices on agricultural land. The technician implements the Land Conservation Department’s cost-share programs, dam maintenance, and Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program, including survey, design, and installation of conservation practices, mapping, dam inspections and minor repairs, and contracting. Starting pay is $26.21/hr. and a generous, comprehensive benefit package is provided.
