Conservation Technician

Burnett County is looking for a candidate to fill our Conservation Technician position. Burnett Co. is a unique mix of Agriculture, recreation, and timberlands. This position will be handling all the Ag work for the county from the big to the small. We have a few larger operations as well as a vibrant and growing group of small scale ag producers/grazers that will be a priority to assist w/ such things as grazing plans, fencing, watering systems, etc. This position will be responsible for BMP projects w/ assistance from the DATCP engineers.  In addition to the ag projects, this technician will be involved with a variety of other programs such as Non Metallic Mining, Dams, erosion control/shoreline runoff design and installation, tree program, educational programs and more.
