About the Academy
The Wisconsin Grazing Academy is a professional development program designed to build the capacity of conservation staff and technical service providers to support managed grazing across the state. Through a combination of in-person trainings, peer learning, and applied field experiences, participants gain practical skills in grazing system design, pasture management, and farmer engagement.
Developed by Wisconsin Land+Water in partnership with UW–Extension, NRCS, and grazing practitioners, the Academy responds to growing demand for technical assistance that supports resilient, economically viable grazing operations. By investing in practitioner knowledge and networks, the program aims to strengthen grazing adoption and advance conservation outcomes on working lands.
