This gathering will be an opportunity for women landowners, farmers, gardeners, and conservation professionals to connect around their shared interest in conservation practices and learn from one another. It will be a casual potluck hosted by Cate Lucas, the Naturalist Educator and Program Director of the River Doc Nature Conservancy, and Carol Olson who donated 55 acres of land along the shore of Desair Lake. Carol and her husband donated the land to the Rice Lake School District so that the students could learn hands on how to implement conservation.  Carol and Cate will spend some time talking about the conservancy and others will be invited to share their experiences with implementing conservation plans. Please bring a dish and/or beverage to share, and your questions! If you are interested in a conservation plan for your land, you can sign up at the event.
