Conventional chemical pesticides have been widely used since mid-1900's and their full effects on the environment continue to come into greater focus. Birds are one of the hardest-hit taxa from widespread overuse of pesticides - particularly from pesticide coatings on seeds - their fate is closely tied to that of insects and people. Look at past regulations, current effects on birds, and what we can do for a less-toxic future.
