Wisconsin NRCS invites you to attend the Soil Health and Sustainability course, September 9th through 12th at the UW Ag Research Station in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This in-person training is designed to provide field level conservationists with an overall understanding of soil health and sustainability principles to guide land management recommendations. Emphasis will be placed on increasing proficiency with the NRCS Cropland In-field Soil Health Assessment to identify soil health resource concerns. The training will run from 12 to 4:30 pm on September 9th and 8 to 4:30 pm on subsequent days. A large portion of the training will be outdoors in field conditions, so attendees should prepare accordingly. The course will be taught by Barry Fisher, Mike Kucera, and local NRCS staff.
