Save the Date( s ): Siting Smart with Tools for  Renewable Energy Planning Webinars

Hosted by The Nature Conservancy in Wisconsin & Sustain Our Future Foundation

Tuesday, November 10 (9:00 am-10:00 am CT) I Monday, November 16 (3:00 pm-4:00 pm CT)

Communities have an opportunity to shape how renewable energy develops in Wisconsin. TNC and Sustain Our Future Foundation are hosting these webinars (two sessions offered) to share two tools, Wisconsin's Renewable Opportunity Explorer and the Renewable Energy for People and Planet Standard, that can help community leaders identify solar and wind opportunities that maximize community benefits and conservation outcomes.

Wisconsin's Renewable Opportunity Explorer: Wisconsin's interactive mapping tool identifies areas that may be environmentally, socially, and developmentally suitable for solar and wind energy.

Renewable Energy for People and Planet Standard CREPPS): A national certification that helps establish clear expectations among communities, developers, and energy buyers.

During the webinar, you'll learn:

• To identify renewable energy sites that consider environmental, social, and community priorities using the Wisconsin Renewable Opportunity Explorer, including a case study in Wisconsin.
• A menu of community considerations from the Renewable Energy for People and Planet Standard that can guide decision makers in identifying and negotiating key items with developers as new projects emerge.
