Neonicotinoid effects on deer and other animals

Dr. Jonathan Jenks is an award-winning animal biologist and professor of wildlife science at South Dakota State University. He has focused his research work on deer ecology and management through the University of South Dakota, Black Hills of South Dakota and co-authored research papers with Dr. Jonathan Lundgren. Jenks and Lundgren are part of a team of scientists preparing to publish results of a study on ring-necked pheasants that used the same methodology as their deer study. In addition to an overview of the White-tailed deer study, Dr. Jenks will discuss new research on neonicioinoids insecticides and ring-necked pheasants and ongoing research in North Dakota on neonics in bobcats, fishers and other mammals followed by a Q&A.
