See two farms raising pastured pork and poultry in a couple of different ways! Pastured pork and poultry can be a viable method for produce growers to add the fifth principle of soil health, Integrating Livestock, into their soil health practices. These methods of production are often overlooked in soil health programming and education. Over the summer, we hope to create educational materials or a podcast on this topic as it is something that farmers who don’t have a land base to run cattle, but do have acreage enough for poultry or pork, can benefit from.
