Lunch & Learn: Rewilding Farmland with Mad Agriculture

September 9, 2025

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Location: Virtual

Join us for a casual lunch-hour conversation with Mad Agriculture, a national leader in regenerative land stewardship. Their newest project, launched in partnership with Whole Foods Market, focuses on rewilding marginal cropland—and they want to connect with conservation staff in southern Wisconsin who are already leading efforts on the ground.

Mad Ag’s Director of Wilding and Director of Mad Science will introduce their effort to restore marginal row-cropped land within the Military Ridge Prairie Heritage Area (MRPHA) and the broader Southwest Wisconsin Grassland & Stream Conservation Area (SWGSCA)

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Learn how Mad Ag is combining science, land stewardship, and storytelling to transform degraded farmland into functioning ecosystems
  • Explore shared goals around habitat connectivity, prairie restoration, and regenerative grazing
  • Discuss potential partnership opportunities for county conservation departments
