Conservation Training

Land Use, Food and Climate Change featuring Keefe Keeley and Jacob Grace

October 6, 2022

1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Location: Online

Climate change is the most important issue presently confronting humankind. In order to stabilize our climate, we will have to adopt a new relationship to the earth. Conservation, land use, and agriculture can offer many tangible and positive strategies for effecting these critical changes.

Come hear from experienced researchers and practitioners about how actions we can implement and support will help us move towards a more sustainable, resilient future. Learn about grass-based agriculture, “silviculture” and help expand a “permaculture” plot by working with an experienced crew to plant trees and shrubs that will yield food for generations while sequestering significant amounts of atmospheric carbon. The day will be a mix of presentations and a hands-on tree-planting workshop.

Join us for an afternoon of shared research, practical experience and hands-in-the-dirt participation.
