A known obstacle to Tribes participating in NRCS programs is ensuring standards and specifications reflect Tribal management practices. Tribal Liaison and Resource Conservationist will visit about the Interim CPS process so it is more transparent, easily navigated, and collaborative.​ They will also highlight flexible opportunities and alternative pathways for existing Conservation Practices.​
