Conservation Training
Hydrology Basics & the Development of Wisconsin's Landscape
December 11, 2024
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Location: Virtual
The purpose of this 2-part webinar series is to build shared knowledge among county Land Conservation Department staff on the characteristics of healthy hydrologic processes, how they developed, and the benefits of an outcomes-based approach to hydrologic restoration.
Part 1 (this webinar) will focus on hydrology basics, the case for a hydrology-first approach, and how restoring healthy hydrologic conditions can help address multiple resource concerns.
Part 2 (date tbd) will provide an overview of how geology, geomorphology, and biology helped to shape the landscapes where we live and work and how that context can inform restoration planning.
This event is co-hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and Wisconsin Wetlands Association, with support from an EPA Wetland Program Development Grant.
Registration restricted to County Land Conservation Department Staff
