The next G-Team meeting will be an in-person field day at the DFRC Prairie du Sac research station, and will include a conversation about pasture renovation with DFRC research scientist Alison Duff, an invasive weed I.D. session with Extension weed specialist Mark Renz, and a tour of Ph.D. student Stefania Cartoni's silvopasture establishment research site. Silvopasture is the integrated management of livestock, forages, and tree crops, and the PDS silvopasture site is being used to compare methods of converting poor-quality woodlands to silvopasture.
