Extreme Weather and Climate Services Roadshow: Northern Wisconsin
December 2, 2025
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin
The Rural Partnerships Institute (RPI) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension, in collaboration with the Wisconsin State Climatology Office (SCO) and Wisconet, is organizing a series of roadshows – presentations and listening sessions – to better understand the weather and climate information needs of communities, as well as how extreme weather events are affecting rural communities in Wisconsin.
These sessions aim to identify the most pressing weather and climate-related questions facing local stakeholders, with a particular focus on extreme weather impacts such as flooding, drought, extreme heat and cold, and more. We hope to take this information to develop data, tools, climate information, and other resources to help communities better understand their local weather and climate, as well as improve extreme weather preparedness capacity.
