Most lakes in Wisconsin are frozen for 3-5 months per year. Have you ever wondered what happens in lakes in the winter? Scientists from UW–Madison’s Center for Limnology will discuss how lakes function in the winter. The unique physics, chemistry, and biology that make winter a fascinating time of the year, and what a warming climate means for Wisconsin’s lakes.
