Brand New Pasture: Working with the NRCS
September 27, 2024
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Location: Avoca, WI
Join at Paul Dietmann's farm for a pasture walk on September 27 at 1 pm. Paul will walk through how he went about installing a grazing system on his land working alongside the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). They'll talk through the process of working with NRCS, working with a Technical Service Provider (TSP) to develop a grazing plan, and answer your questions. Joining Paul will be Serge Keonig, grazing expert and Sauk County conservationist, who served as Paul's TSP for his grazing plan. They will also have NRCS staff on hand to answer any questions you might have about applying for an NRCS contract or any of the programs that could help you meet your conservation and production goals. The project was funded through the NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) administered by the Sand County Foundation, and you'll hear about the program from Craig Ficenec.
