Aquatic Plant ID Summer Workshops

June 24, 2025 – June 26, 2025

9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Woodruff, WI

Extension Lakes is offering 5 days of aquatic plant ID workshops this June, including a southern location and a northern location. No prior experience with aquatic plants is necessary to attend these workshops. Workshops at both locations are free, but you must bring your own lunch and provide your own lodging if needed.

The northern workshop is repeated 3 times so you only need to register for one day. The northern workshop includes a general overview of aquatic plant ID, including hands-on instruction with 60+ species of aquatic plants representing the common species found throughout the state and some rare species. This workshop includes an on-the-water component on Lake Tomahawk. Please bring your own kayak/canoe/paddleboard and life jacket. There are a couple of canoes available at the station for those that do not have their own watercraft, and there will be a small motorboat available that we can use if you are not comfortable in a kayak/canoe.

The southern Wisconsin workshops will be held at Lapham Peak in Delafield, WI on June 10 and 11.
