This 2hr 15mins hr webinar is geared towards staff/students that will be working outdoors in the spring and summer. It will provide the skills needed to identify some of the most common invasive plants and noxious weeds, including those that may pose a health and safety risk. It will also include a section on general health and safety considerations for working in the field. The following species will be covered:
- Dog-strangling Vine
- Garlic Mustard
- Himalayan Balsam
- Common Buckthorn
- Japanese Knotweed
- European Common Reed (Phragmites)
- Giant Hogweed
- Wild Parsnip
- Poison Hemlock
- Stinging Nettle
- Thistles
- Common Barberry
