In the first section of the workshop, participants will learn about giant hogweed including information on its biology and life cycle, pathways of spread, impacts and key identification features. In the second section of the workshop, participants will learn about proper health and safety precautions that need to be taken when working with giant hogweed. Participants will learn about the most effective control methods recommended by professionals across Ontario. This section will also include learning about proper disposal, how to report and document giant hogweed. Participants will also have the chance to learn about a successful giant hogweed control project underway in Ontario! This workshop will features interactive quizzes and activities to engage participants.
