Neonicotinoids, or “neonics,” are neurotoxic insecticides targeting insect central nervous systems. As the most widely used insecticides in Wisconsin, they are applied to millions of acres of agricultural and urban land. This webinar examines the growing body of research on the unintended harms of neonics, their agricultural efficacy, and their prevalence in the environment.
Speakers: Shawn Conley, UW-Madison Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences Professor and Russ Groves, UW-Madison Entomology Professor
