2014 Wisconsin Envirothon

2014  Winners and Event Information

The 2014 Envirothon was held in Tomahawk, Wisconsin at Treehaven on Thursday, April 17th. Schools from across the state braved the ten inches of snow that hit Treehaven. Despite having to move the testing stations inside, the students were in good spirits and had a great time participating in hands on challenges and testing their classroom knowledge.

The teams had three weeks to prepare their group presentation on the 2014 Presentation Topic, Sustainable Local Agriculture/Locally Grown Foods. The presentation topic is based on a current conservation issue.  The scenario is developed by a Wisconsin natural resource professional and provided to the students three weeks before the event.  The team presentations provide an opportunity to solidify fundamental knowledge on an issue through the practice of public speaking and presentation.
